Local Scuba Diving

Local Scuba Diving The Manuel Antonio coastline with its 12 islands gives us the pick of numerous dive sites. The majority of our local dive sites are a maximum of 20 minutes from the port and we consider your experience, preferences and local conditions to guarantee your enjoyment. Most of our dives are between 35 and 60 feet, though there are deeper sites for more experienced divers. All dives are guided by a PADI professional who has extensive knowledge and experience at our dive sites so that you will see the most marine life and underwater formations. Dives typically last 45 minutes and you will see volcanic rock formations, with various hard and soft corals. We have an abundant marine life with schools of Snapper and Jacks, plus White Tip Reef Sharks, Angel Fish, Moorish Idols, Parrot Fish, Puffer Fish, Octopus, Eels, Crustaceans, Sea Turles and in season(Dec - May) the giant Manta Ray. During your surface interval you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Manuel Antonio National Park Coastline.

Manuel Antonio National Park is the most famous National Park in Costa Rica and the most visited by tourists each year.

This tropical dry forest is located on a peninsula, surrounded by crystal clear Pacific water and white sand beaches. The main attractions of this park are its two white sand beaches: Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio. There are 109 mammal species such as 3 different species of monkeys, agouti, three-toed sloths, two-toed sloths and over 180 species of birds.

Arenal Volcano

Carara National Park

Carara National Park Carara Biological Reserve is a transition forest between the Tropical Dry Forest region to the north, and the more humid Pacific Rainforest to the south. Relatively small: only 4,700 hectares, the Carara National Park is one of the few remaining breeding grounds for the majestic scarlet macaw which can easily be spotted in the early morning and late afternoon hours.

Also, this is a pre-colonial Archaeological site with rivers, lakes and waterfalls. You will find monkeys, collared aracaris, raccoons, coatis and many different species of birds.
